Abstract
Fractures of the hamate are rate and canstitute anly 2% of all carpal bane fractures, while isolated fractures of the hook of the hamate are even more rate. Fracture of the hook of the hamate should be strongly sus when a deep, ill-defined pain is reffered to the ulnar half of the wrist, particularly in golfers. The carpal tunnel profile view is particularly helpful. Sharp spicules at the fracture site may induce attritional rupture of the flexor tendons in the ulnar two fingers. We experienced one case of flexor tendon ruptures secandary to the hamate hook fracture and treated with excision of the fractured hook and tendon graft .
