Abstract
Isolated fracture of the humeral trochlea was originally described by Laugier in 1853 and has been known as Laugier’s fracture. The ulnohumeral joint is not subjected to the shear forces that occur at the radiocapitellar joint, and consequently trochlea fractures in isolation are rarely seen. We present a rare case of isolated trochlear fracture with a review of the literature. In this case, internal fixation of large fragments with early range of motion result in a good functional outcome.
