Abstract
The replantation of avulsed finger amputation is challenging problem because of its low survival rate and functional return. 3 cases of digital replantation of avulsion amputation were reconstructed secondarily with tendon transfer. First case was 11 years old boy who sustained thumb amputation at proximal phalanx level with FPL avulsion. After replantation, brachioradialis transfer to FPL was done at postoperative 8 months. Second case was 45 years old man sustained thumb amputation at MP joint level with FPL, EPL, EPB and thenar muscle avulsions. He had transfers of EIP to EPL and palmaris longus to FPL and opponensoplasty at postoperative 3 and 7 months independently. Third case was 35 years old man who lost his 4th finger at proximal phalanx level and reconstructed with 5th FDS transfer to 4th FDP at postoperative 6 months. The functional reconstruction of avulsion amputation with tendon transfer produced acceptable result. We report upon these three cases with a brief review of the literature
