Abstract
Carpometacarpal dislocations excluding the thumb are rare and dislocations of second-third carpometacarpal joints are rarer than fourth-fifth carpometacarpal joints. Most of these dislocation is dorsal but volar is very rare. Especially, a case, combined rupture of extensor carpi radialis brevis (ECRB) and carpometacarpal dislocationhas not been reported in the literatures. We experienced the case of a 40-year-old man who had a rupture of ECRB caused by volar dislocation of the second and third carpometacarpal joints and report it with a review of the literatures.
